Susannah Rickards is a writer, editor and tutor.
Her collected works, Hot Kitchen Snow (Salt) won the international Scott Prize for best short fiction debut. Individual stories have won and placed in awards including the HG Wells, Conan Doyle, BBC Opening Lines, Commonwealth Broadcasting, Society of Authors Tom Gallon, Real Writers, International Pen, Carve and the Alpine Fellowship. Her work has appeared on BBC radio, in anthologies and literary journals in UK, USA and Canada, and in short story dispensers on the London Underground and Paris Metro. Her mentees range from New York Times bestselling authors to newcomers who have gone on to sign with agents, gain publishing deals and win awards. She read English at St Peter’s College, Oxford and teaches Creative Writing for Oxford University’s Conted Department.
